What is ‘flexibility’?
There are 4 types of flexibility and the flexibility program will focus on 3 of those - static passive, static active and dynamic active flexibility - to help you not just improve your range of motion but also learn how to use it in your everyday life.
What are the benefits of regular flexibility training?
The primary benefit of flexibility training is longevity - we want you to be capable of moving well long into the future. The saying “move it or lose it” couldn’t be more true. Another significant benefit to regular flexibility training is to build a resilient body that is able to withstand a variety of positions - this is going to reduce the likelihood of injury not just in life, but also across any sport or hobby. And on top of this, flexibility training can help you find freedom from a body that constantly feels stiff, tight and sore.
I’m not very fit/flexible. Should I still attend?
Absolutely! Our classes are literally for every body. We offer variations of each exercise and encourage you to choose a progression that challenges you (safely) and feels best for your body. It’s never too late to start.
What should I wear/bring?
Please wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely. We encourage you to move in bare feet (or socks if desired). If you have your own yoga mat, please bring this along, as well as a towel.
How long do the classes run for?
Our programs run for 10 weeks (Thursdays & Fridays). Classes are 60 minutes in duration. These classes are progressive in nature, and as such we do ask for a full 10 week commitment from you. This will also allow you to get the most out of each class and see the benefits that regular flexibility training has to offer.
What happens if I miss a class? Do you offer credits/refunds?
Unfortunately we are unable to offer credits, refund. We can offer make up classes during the same block.
Can I switch between Thursday/Friday classes based on my schedule?
We have capped our class numbers to ensure we are able to provide individual attention and feedback to each person within the class environment. We can accommodate a change or make up class but please let the instructor know on info@recentre.space
I’m still unsure if Mobility training is for me. Can I try a class?
